    \t\t\tClick Start, click Run, type regedit<\/font><\/code>, and then click OK. In Windows Vista\/7, simply type regedit<\/font><\/code> in Start Search and hit Enter.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tNavigate to the following registry key:<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tHKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\\SOFTWARE\\Microsoft\\Windows
    \t\t\t  NT\\CurrentVersion\\Winlogon<\/font><\/code><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tDouble-click the DefaultUserName<\/font><\/code> entry, type the user name to log on with, and then click OK.<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tIf DefaultUserName<\/font><\/code> registry value name is not found, create a new String Value (REG_SZ)<\/i> with value name as DefaultUserName<\/font><\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tDouble-click the DefaultPassword<\/font><\/code> entry, type the password for the user account under the value data box, and then click OK.<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tIf there is no DefaultPassword<\/font><\/code> value, create a new String Value (REG_SZ)<\/i> with DefaultPassword<\/font><\/code> as the value name.<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tNote that if no DefaultPassword<\/font><\/code> string is specified, Windows automatically changes the value of the AutoAdminLogon<\/font><\/code> registry key from 1 (true) to 0 (false) to turn off the AutoAdminLogon<\/font><\/code> feature.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tIn Windows Vista\/7, DefaultDomainName<\/font><\/code> has to be specified as well, else Windows will prompt for invalid user name with the user name displayed as .\\username<\/font><\/code>. To do so, double click on DefaultDomainName<\/font><\/code>, and specify the domain name of the user account. If it\u2019s local user, specify local host name.<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tIf the DefaultDomainName<\/font><\/code> does not exist, create a new String Value (REG_SZ)<\/i> registry key with value name as DefaultDomainName<\/font><\/code>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

  6. \n

    \t\t\tDouble-click the AutoAdminLogon<\/font><\/code> entry, type 1<\/font><\/code> in the Value Data box, and then click OK.<\/p>\n

    \t\t\tIf there is no AutoAdminLogon<\/font><\/code> entry, create a new String Value (REG_SZ)<\/i> with AutoAdminLogon<\/font><\/code> as the value name.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tIf it exists, delete the AutoLogonCount<\/font><\/code> key.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tAlso if it exists, delete the AutoLogonChecked<\/font><\/code> key.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    \t\t\tQuit Registry Editor.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
