As an addendum to guide provided by @Arrmm<\/a>, here’s correct way to do it on Debian:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Close RustDesk window<\/li>
  2. service rustdesk stop<\/li>
  3. nano ~\/.config\/rustdesk\/RustDesk.toml<\/li>
  4. Change value of id to “0”, save the file<\/li>
  5. rm -f \/etc\/machine-id \/var\/lib\/dbus\/machine-id<\/li>
  6. dbus-uuidgen –ensure=\/etc\/machine-id<\/li>
  7. dbus-uuidgen –ensure<\/li>
  8. Run RustDesk – a new ID will be automatically generated.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    As @paspo<\/a> pointed out below, please bear in mind that changing machine id may have consequences. If you’re not trying to configure cloned image, proceed with caution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Changing the machine id will impact a lot of things other than rustdesk!
